The 2018 season has gotten off to a rip-roaring start in Australia, and we could not be more excited to see how the rest of the season goes! With some glorious tussling amongst the top teams, and a win for Sebastian Vettel at Albert Park, it's far too early to call who'll be the top dog this season; it's all to play for, and we can't wait to watch it play out! You can check out the official race highlights here:

With new seasons come new beginnings – and with new beginnings, comes new things for us to talk about. We've been spending a lot of time listening to the feedback you've been giving us – so thank you to all of you who've sent us your race videos, tweets, and messages in to us. The vast majority of you have taken the time to provide us with thorough, extremely useful feedback – and we've appreciated it no end. Which leads us perfectly onto the following…

Looking forward to the future, the F1 team here at Codemasters have been working on the newest project. We can't wait to share with you what's being worked on – but in the meantime, we've some other news and opportunities we'd like to share with you…

Beta Programme

For the past couple of years, we've run our successful beta testing programmes, and every time we're excited by the incredibly detailed feedback you give us. We're very happy to say that we're continuing this, and that we'll be opening testing both offline and online in the coming weeks! We'll be opening sign-ups shortly, so keep your eyes open for your chance to help us shape the next project!

Development Liaison

Whilst we're on the subject of new beginnings, we're very happy to introduce our brand new Development Liaison, Claire, to you. We've been listening to your feedback about our forums, and Claire is going to be on our forums full-time, reporting your issues and liaising directly with the development team. You can find her on the forums as Faya, and she'll be making sure the forums run as smoothly as possible! Just to you can get to know Claire a little better, we thought it'd be best to let her introduce herself – so without further ado, here she is in her own words:

Hi all!

My name is Faya and I'm the new Developer Liaison for the F1 series here at Codies. If you've been on the Codies forums way back, you may recognise my name or avatar. I used to be a Community Manager on games like LOTRO and F1 Race Stars. I went away for a bit, but now I'm back and looking forward to meeting everyone.

I'm here to help on a certain upcoming game and look after the F1 Games section of the forums. I'll be taking all your feedback, thoughts and comments to the team, as well as keeping you updated on different bits about the game as well, like patches. One of my main jobs will be helping the team get more information on any problems you may find, so if you've found technical issues I may be poking you to find out more about what's going on. You'll also see the forums getting a little bit more attention, where I'll be moving threads to the right areas and updating a few threads here and there.

If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask! I'll do my best to answer them!

Thanks, everyone!

Please make sure you stop by to say hello to her – she's made her first official post over here! How to screenshot your screen on a mac.

As you might expect from the above, we're beginning to ramp up for the year ahead – so you can expect to hear from me and Claire a lot more over the next few months. We hope you're excited about this season as we are, and we'll meet you back here with more news soon!
